There is a dire need to address critical issues of pollution and fuel supply and Ash has the ‘off the grid’ type of thinking that might just do it. He is teamed up with Mia, a beautiful animate/android powered by a quantum computer brain. But Mia isn’t all she appears. Lurking in her equivalent of a subconscious is a powerful and dangerous post-biological entity that was conceived when she was close to Ash.
 
The evolution of the baby is much the same as a human baby, but much faster and without moral guidance. The Cyber Baby develops throughout the story until an unexpected event changes everything. Add to this the baby’s ability to have unlimited scope for both time travel and computing power, there evolves a very powerful set of sequences manipulated by the Cyber Baby, especially when a tempestuous love triangle develops.
