This is what our client said;-

We would  say that we are fully in support of farmers and all of their needs and hard work.  We have never had problems with any others and are grateful for the way that they look after our beautiful countryside. We do not wish one bad apple to seem to contaminate the barrel.

Over the years we have experienced all types of sneaky attempts at bullying from our neighbour.

Sometime after we built our extension with an excellent view for our retirement our neighbour came out into the open and carefully nurtured a tree in his hedge opposite us to hide our fantastic view. We have spent a lot of time trying to persuade him to remove the offending tree over the last 6 years. [See missing view at bottom of page]

One of the replies were along the lines that the writer was a "greeny" and should put up with it.

Yes we have had to, to get proof of harassment. Would you sit back and take it, or would you do something like write this if someone suddenly gave you the chance to change things for the better?

We should all remember to love our neighbour, as should we our children. It is always easy to be a good friend, but it is difficult to be a good parent or good neighbour. Probably the best expression is 'do as you would be done by'. Otherwise, others will do unto you as you have done to them. Actions, or lack of actions, always have consequences.

Did you ever hear that expression, 'I forgot' . As in 'I was going to cut down that tree, but I forgot my chainsaw.' Well Freud, an old analyst said, and I paraphrase...'We don't forget. We choose not to remember.'


Several weeks ago.
Tired of trying to get the tree cut down we wrote a very polite letter even offering to take the cost of removing the carefully nurtured embodiment of someone’s primal fantasies. Bold as brass... the one who had so carefully done the planning, plotting and calculations sent his dear wife to see us.
Such bravery is to be commended at the lowest level.

Things would be done...mountains would be moved and the earth would tremble. And not only that it had to be done before the rains came.

 A mighty and very pretty blue tractor appeared as if a wormhole had opened and spewed forth the saviour of our view. Guess what?...to cut a long story short...the driver of the pretty blue tractor had forgot his chainsaw and didn't even think to ask us if he could borrow ours.

Things being what they are...the rains came and the pretty blue tractor seems to have gone back into its wormhole. 

Update...6 years of polite diplomacy resulted in nothing, but contempt...

6 days on the net and the tree has gone. Should we be grateful, well, wouldn't that be like a wife thanking her husband for not beating her when she came home?

Should we continue this blog? ...We will let our supporters decide.

Whent the balcony was being built two weeks of birdscarers at 40 second intervals.

Merde dumped in Hedge

When the writer returned from hospital after an ambulance ride slurry was dumped in the field up-wind and left there for over two weeks without being ploughed in.

Hide built in middle of field next to house to spy on our bedroom window early in the morning.

If the reader has simillar problems it is relatively easy to build an infra-red camera from an old camcorder or web-cam to see what the occupant is playing at. Search U-Tube for instructions.

More incidents to follow.

For our reporter friends out there that need to verify.... check with the Council and Police records plus with the article in the North Devon Journal Herald . And as  for the reporter that suggested the man of the house dresses up in womans clothes and poses with a chain saw to get an article published. Tough...nice try dear girl.

What do you do about such bullies? It appears reason didn't work so as a last resort we had to resort this expression from a film.
